What Is a Co-operative Society?
A co-operative society is an association of persons who have voluntarily joined together to achieve a common economic and social objective through the formation of a jointly-owned and democratically controlled business organization. Members make equitable contributions to the capital required and accept a fair share of the risks and benefits of the undertakings. Co-operative societies work on the principles of self-help and mutual assistance to provide services for their members in a prudent and effective manner. Every co-operative society must be registered under the Co-operatives Law. More information on co-operative societies can be found on the Ministry of Labor, Small scale, and Micro Enterprise Development website.
About Gofound
Preface
The purpose of setting up this group is as good as your quest. To create an opportunity where those in the grass root will be heard, noticed and assisted. This book is designed as a document which is aimed towards informing, educating, comforting, and enlightening the general public of what Gofound a branch of goftagroup is all about.
This is also an opportunity for the general public to see the level of flexibility that operates among all members that make up Gofound.
We thank you all so much for having interest in this group. We know you will really benefit from it,
This group comprises Farmers, small scale traders, professionals in their various kinds of work, the elderly and children. As for the farmers they are the food producers who toil day and night to make sure there is quality food for us to eat. We therefore want to be the mouthpiece of these ones to tell our brothers/sisters both at home and abroad to do their utmost to remove these people from being treated as slaves in their own fathers' house.
The initiatives of creating an avenue where those that are neglected despite their effort will be noticed and heard, was conceived collectively by the women of goftagroup and strictly manage by the Board of trustee of the conglomerate
This Gofound will also serve as an avenue to make the activities of the Goftagroup accessible to all. And also to show the flexibility that exist in the group. This includes both the registered members, and those people interested in knowing something about the conglomerate.
The goftagroup and you, the guidebook that give detailed information about the Gofta limited will also be useful to people who would like to know something about people in the grass root, Farmers, issues relating to child abuse, and how useful Gofta thrift and loan operations (Gotalo) will be for you. Those that also want to learn new skills or develop their farming skills will also see a need to have a copy of the Gofta guidebook.
Once again, we thank you.
